Announcing the Retirement of Harriet Boyd

Sycamores' CFO Harriet Boyd

It is with mixed emotions that we announce Harriet Boyd’s retirement at the end of this month. Harriet joined Sycamores as a consultant before becoming our Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in 2019. During her tenure, she guided us through significant growth and many challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, always keeping us on track and financially sound.

“We are deeply grateful for Harriet’s inspired leadership, sense of humor, compassion, and commitment to our organization and those we serve,” stated Sycamores President & CEO Debra Manners. “Her contributions have left an indelible mark on Sycamores.”

As CFO, Harriet’s leadership has been instrumental in ensuring Sycamores’ financial stability, allowing us to best support the children, young adults, and families we serve. She set high standards for herself and her staff, creating a supportive environment with her open-door policy that enabled her team to perform effectively. Harriet has always prioritized the agency’s best interests, focusing on both immediate financial health and long-term sustainability. She has built a strong team that will continue to uphold her standards and maintain Sycamores’ financial integrity after her departure.

While we will miss working with Harriet in her role as CFO, we are fortunate she will continue to work with Sycamores as a consultant, ensuring a smooth transition and continued success. In stepping back, Harriet looks forward to having more time to travel and explore new adventures.

Please join us in wishing Harriet all the best in her well-deserved retirement! Thank you, Harriet, for everything you have done for Sycamores.
