We’re proud to share that two members of our leadership team—Joe Ford, Chief Program Officer, and Wendy Wang, Chief Public Policy & Advocacy Officer—were honored at the 2025 California Mental Health Advocates for Children & Youth (CMHACY) Conference for their extraordinary contributions to children’s mental health in California.

Joe Ford was recognized with the Jim Preis Advocate of the Year Award, honoring his tireless leadership and commitment to community-centered care. Joe has long been a force for positive change, working across systems to ensure children and families receive the mental health support they need.
Wendy Wang received the Policy/Legislative Leadership Award for her bold and effective work shaping mental health policy in California. Her leadership has helped drive real, lasting improvements to how systems support the state’s most vulnerable youth.
Held annually, the CMHACY Conference is California’s longest standing, and most recognized gathering focused on the social, emotional, and behavioral health of children, youth, and their families. The conference brings together advocates, professionals, and policymakers committed to building a better future through systems’ change, policy advancement, and community collaboration.
We’re honored to have Joe and Wendy representing Sycamores—and so proud to see their powerful contributions recognized by their peers. Congratulations!
