If this is a mental health-related emergency, please call 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. For other emergencies, call 911 or go to the nearest hospital.

SYCAMORES MOBILE CRISIS OUTREACH PROGRAM
Each day, communities throughout Southern California face mental health challenges that law enforcement is not trained to handle. While 911 is traditionally the number people think to contact in an emergency, the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (988) is an alternative designed for mental health crises.
If a 988 call requires an immediate, in-person response, a Sycamores team is dispatched to provide compassionate care. This includes crisis stabilization, safety planning, transportation to a hospital or other location of care (when needed), connections to resources and follow up support.
Each team includes a Licensed Mental Health Professional and a Peer Support Specialist, someone who has personal experience with homelessness, substance abuse, or mental health challenges. Treating each individual with dignity and respect is crucial. Sycamores’ teams are qualified to do this important work and are experts at providing timely, caring support.
